Caterpillars and Butterflies
Grab a few Caterpillar books. If you don't have any at home, check some out at your local library. That's always a fun trip with the kids!
I used the following:
- Ten Wriggly, Wiggly Caterpillars by Debbie Tarbett
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
- Clara Caterpillar by Pamela Duncan Edwards

I read each of the books and then we started our craft.
What you will need;
- Green Construction Paper
- Wiggly Eyes
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
- Tan Construction Paper
- Five different colors of construction paper
- Black Marker
For Your Caterpillar;
(These numbers are for two toddlers to do the craft)

- Cut two big circles for the caterpillars face.
- Cut 16 small circles for the caterpillars body.
- Have your child glue two spots onto the bigger circle. Place two wiggly eyes on those spots.
- Have your child then pick out where they want to put their small circles. Put glue on that spot and have them put their circle there. ::Repeat until circles are gone::
- Set aside to dry.
- With a black marker draw a smiley face. Billy wanted bushy eyebrows so I drew those on for him :)

For Your Butterfly;
(These numbers are for two toddlers to do the craft)

- Use your tan construction paper and draw out the caterpillars body. Then cut out.
- Take your five pieces of different colored construction paper and trace your child's hand print on each sheet of paper. Then cut them out.
- Have them pick out where they want their hand print glued and have them place it there.
- Set aside to dry when finished.
- With a black marker draw a smiley face.

Enjoy!
